Genetics: Co-Dominant (Possibly Dominant)
Summit Pastels originated here in 2005 from a Lemke Pastel Female bred by
a Salmon Hypo Male. This was the second litter produced from the Dam, however the first years offspring were all Salmon
Hypos due to the Sire being a Super Salmon. These snakes exhibit a temendous amount of pink, red, orange coloration
along with little to no black flecking and very deep black bordering on the tail saddles. These snakes will also have
very little or no black flecking on the belly. The genetics are still unknown, but it appears to be almost dominant.
However, litters still have a few offspring that does not exhibit these traits. We hope in the next few years we will
finally be able to pin down the exact genetics of these snakes and without question will be working this line in
to each morph we have.
